About 70 people from North and South America and Europe gathered for nine days at the Padmasambhava Peace Institute for the first Rigdzin Dupa drubchen in 2015.
(“great accomplishment”) at the Padmasambhava Peace Institute, led by Jigme Tromge Rinpoche as vajra master, also in attendance were our Chagdud Gonpa lamas Lama Padma Dorje, Lama Padma Gyatso, Lama Sherab Dromla, and Lama Thubten. This drubchen — deity yoga sadhana in its most elaborate form — was the beautiful fruition of the hard work of many dedicated people and several years of preparation, with guidance and blessings from Khenpo Ngaga Rinpoche of Nyoshul Gonpa in Kham.
Jigme Rinpoche worked tirelessly to train and direct people in ritual arts in order for the drupchen ceremony to be as authentic as possible, and we were especially blessed to have so many experienced lama dancers from Brazil present for the occasion. In addition to the daily traditional lama dancing, on the last morning, all present enjoyed the final offering of a spectacular range of dances, including the Eight Emanations of Guru Rinpoche. We are extremely grateful for everyone’s contributions in making such a puja possible, and look forward to seeing everyone next year for this wonderful drubchen.
