Sat 9th – Sun 10th March 2019
Event Notice: After the heavy rains this week, roads to PPI are now open and this event will go on as scheduled.
Please check road conditions before coming, as there may still be repair work or flooding on Hwy 1 or other areas, and drive slowly and carefully on Fort Ross Road.
This beautiful, concise sadhana arose from the vast, pure heart-mind of one of the greatest masters of modern times, His Holiness Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche (1933-2004), who established the Buddhist university at Serta (Larung Gar) in eastern Tibet.
Through the focus and blessings of his practice, His Holiness Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche’s mind blended with that of the great 19th century master Mipham Rinpoche, and then he completely accomplished the practice of Manjushri. In 1986 His Holiness revealed this particular Manjushri treasure while practising in a cave at Wu Tai Shan — Manjushri’s holy seat, and one of China’s most sacred mountains. The text holds the complete path of Vajrayana all the way up to Great Perfection, and is a timely practice revealed for these degenerate times.
The PPI-Ati Ling sangha are honored and delighted that Jigme Tromge Rinpoche will be offering empowerment and teachings on this particular Manjushri sadhana, which although short is extremely profound, and which carries tremendous blessings.
Jigme Tromge Rinpoche first received this transmission in 1993 during His Holiness visit to North America, and a year later His Holiness authorized Jigme Rinpoche to teach and propagate all of His Holiness’ treasures, including this Manjushri practice, as well as all of Terton Sogyal’s treasures. Since that time, Jigme Rinpoche has offered transmission and teachings in Hong Kong, on pilgrimage at Wu Tai Shan in China, and also several times in Brazil.
This is the first time in over 10 years that Jigme Rinpoche is offering the empowerment, so is a wonderful opportunity for all to make a connection with His Holiness Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche’s wisdom mind, inseparable with Manjushri. Beginners as well as senior students are welcome.
